Haveri: Congress president Rahul Gandhi Saturday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of making fun of poor farmers by doling out only Rs 3.50 a day while waving loans worth Rs 3.5 lakh crore of industrialists.
Coming down heavily on the prime minister at an election rally in Haveri, the Congress chief said the PM-KISAN scheme launched by the Centre is nothing but an attempt to make mockery of poor farmers by doling out a paltry sum of Rs 6,000 annually.
Ahead of Lok Sabha polls, Rahul Gandhi launched the election campaign by participating in a public function in the BJP bastion- Haveri, which witnesses many incidents like Mahatma Gandhi’s visit in 1934, freedom movement and Ahinda Movement.
