Bhatkal, 07 February 2010 (Bhatkallys News): Fire erupted near Doordarshan station off N.H. 17, Bhatkal and destroyed the adjoining trees; however the big mishap was averted by the quick action from the Fire brigade department. It may be noted that there were several shops near the site where the fire broke out including Doordarshan station and Primary school. This is the third incident of fire in the past one week at different places in the taluk.
