Savji Dholakia is pretty much the best boss in the world. The Surat-based businessman has time and again come in the news for gifting his employees lavishly. Remember the time he gifted 1260 cars and 400 flats to his employees as a part of Diwali bonus? He is well known to consider the people who work for him as a part of his family more than just employees.
He’s also the diamond merchant who sent his son to Kochi to fend for himself and find odd jobs, just so that he would learn the importance of struggle.
Well, the diamond baron has done it again this time, gifting Mercedez Benz worth ₹1 crore each to three of his senior staff members.
According to a report by the Times Of India, Nilesh Jada (40), Mukesh Chandpara (38) and Mahesh Chandpara (43) are the 3 lucky employees who now own a Mercedez Benz. The three had joined Hari Krishna Exports in their early teens and now handle key departments of management, cleaving and manufacturing respectively.
They were handed over the keys to their new luxury cars in a small ceremony presided over by Madhya Pradesh governor Anandiben Patel.
Speaking to Times Of India, Dholakiya says: “THESE THREE HAD JOINED US WHEN THEY WERE JUST AROUND 13 OR OR 15 YEARS OLD. THEY STARTED WITH LEARNING TO CUT DIAMONDS AND POLISH IT AND NOW THEY ARE NOT ONLY EXPERTS BUT MOST SENIOR AND ONE OF THE MOST TRUSTED PEOPLE OF OUR COMPANY.”
He adds that he felt their work and loyalty to the company had to be recognised, which is how he came to the decision to gift them the cars.
Nilesh Jada, after receiving the keys from his employer says Dholakiya believes in giving and not receiving.
He adds: “THIS GIFT IS A CERTIFICATE THAT I AM DOING MY WORK HONESTLY. WHEN YOU DO YOUR WORK WITH ENERGY AND HONESTY, YOU CAN GET A GREAT RESULT AND THIS IS AN EXAMPLE.”
Mahesh Chandpara, who oversees manufacturing thought of his reward as motivation to continue to be an ideal staff member of the establishment.
He says: “WHAT COULD BE A BETTER MOTIVATION FOR AN EMPLOYEE THAN RECEIVING SUCH A LUXURIOUS GIFT? IN OUR COMPANY, SENIORS AND SUPERIORS BELIEVE THAT OUR PEOPLE SHOULD REACH THE TOP LEVEL OF SUCCESS.”
