Mangaluru City Corporation celebrates Nehru’s Birth anniversary

Mangaluru 14 Nov 2017: Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) officials on Tuesday marked Nov 14 (Pandit Jawharlal Nehru’s Birth anniversary) by organizing an event for school students at the famous Nehru Maida, named after the first prime minister of India, whose birthday is also celebrated as Children’s day across the country.

Mangaluru Mayor Kavitha Sanil, while addressing the press persons said, “Previous year we installed the statue of Pandit Nehru here at this ground and this year we have come up with plan to build an main entrance to the ground at the cost of Rs. 25 lacs.

She also celebrated the children’s day with students at the ground and expressed her happiness over it.

Former mayor Sashidhar Hegde, deputy mayor Rajaneesh Kapikad along with other corporators were present during the event.
