Kundapur: Members of two Hindu organizations fight each other; three injured one critical

Kundapur 03 Dec 2017: Members of two Hindu organization started fighting each other on Friday over the placement of banner of a local Jhatre in Koteshwar, the fight has reportedly injured three people of two organization while one of them is said to be critical in a Manipal hospital.

Abhishek (27), sustained severe head injuries during the fight and was rushed to a hospital in Manipal while the other two injured Sridhar Naik and Adarsh of the opposite group are being treated in a Kundapur hospital.

The fight started when Abhishek was placing a banner of Jhatre, the members of one of the organization objected to the placement of the banner following which a quarrel and brawl took place between the two groups. The two groups are being said to be long time rivals and have several organizational differences between them.

A case has been registered at Kundapur Police Station.
