Ambulance-tanker collision kills three at Kundapur

Kota, Kundapur 27 October 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Atleast three killed and three severely injured in a tragic road accident between a Ambulance and a tanker at NH-66 near Kota of Kundapur here in the wee hours of Saturday 27, Oct.

The deceased has been identified as Shailesh (39), Ashok (37) and Ullas Talekhar (48), all residents of Kundapur. While the injured victims have been identified as Sarita Talekar, Aravind Ganapati and Driver Ragavendra.

As per sources, an Ambulance carrying patient from Karwar, lost its control and crashed into a road divider and landed itself on the other side of the one way where an oncoming tanker from the opposite direction rammed over it killing three on the spot while injuring three severely.

It has been said that the ambulance was carrying a Heart patient Ullas for advance treatment from Karwar to Mangaluru.

The deceased were later shifted to Kundapur government hospital for post mortem. While the injured were taken to Hospital at Manipal.

A case has been registered at Kota police station.
