Indian consulate in Jeddah celebrates 70th Republic day

Jeddah 16 January 2019: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Indian Consulate to Saudi Arabia in Jeddah, on Saturday organised an event to mark the celebrations of 70th Republic day, in Jeddah here wherein the consulate general Mohammed Noor Rahman Sheikh unfurled the National flag and also voiced the President of India’s message to the Indian community in Saudi.

The event was attended by more than 800 people from the Indian community living in Saudi Arabia, who turned up with great enthusiasm and patriotism to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the country becoming an republic nation as its constitution came into force on January 26, 1950.

In his republic day speech, consulate general Noor Sheikh, spoke about how the two countries (India and Saudi Arabia) have been sharing cordial relationship with mutual respect and timely assistance during the needs, while speaking about the services provided by the Saudi government for Indians during Haj 2018.

Noor further spoke about how the consulate has assisted the Indian and Saudi business network to initiate state programs to promote business relations between the two countries.
