Bhatkal 11 March 2019: Union Minister and BJP Leader Anant Kumar Hegde once again called for controversy after he said that Rahul Gandhi is a foreigner born to Muslim and Christian parents.
Speaking to reporters at Bhatkal, Hegde who is known for his fire-brand Hindutva image said “Look at how low they have stooped. The whole world is appreciating the courage and fearlessness of our armed forces after the Balakot Airstrike but he ask for proofs of the attack”.

This Muslim who calls himself a ‘janeudhari Hindu’, son of a Muslim father & a Christian mother, does he have proof that he is a Hindu”? (10.3.19) pic.twitter.com/FWXFky5jXH

He further questioned “How is a son of Muslim being a Brahmin and named Gandhi? How did he become a Brahmin?”
Hegde has in the past issued several controversial statements against Muslim community, Women and Constitution and has not apologized for his remarks in many such cases.
In January this year he had called Rahul Gandhi a ‘Mixed breed of Muslim and Christian’.
