Tanzeem delegation calls for justice in Delhi rape case; presents memorandum

Bhatkal: Bhatkal’s leading socio-political organisation has called for swift justice and action against perpetrators of alleged rape and murder of Rabia Saifi, a 21-year-old female civil defense officer, working with a district magistrate in Delhi.

A memorandum was handed over to Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, through Mamata Devi, Bhatkal AC.

Abdul Raqib MJ, General Secretary, Majlis-e-Islah-o-Tanzeem, termed the entire episode as brutally inhumane and raised questions on woman safety in India. He also called on national leaders to take notice of the matter and push for a high-level probe.

Inayatullah Shabandri also expressed his views and condemned the incident and demanded severe punishment for the culprits. Advocate Imran Lanka read out the memorandum.

SM Syed Pervez, President of the organisation, Moulana Aziz-ur-Rehman Nadvi, Siddique DF, Altaf Kharuri and others were also present during the memorandum
