Bhatkal: Police traps, arrests three people trying to steal cows

Bhatkal: (Bhatkallys News Bureau)  Local police in a late Monday night operation arrested three people while they were attempting to steal cows from the outskirts of the town.

The three arrested people are reportedly residents of Karkala, Mulki, and Bhatkal and have been identified as Abdul Jaleel, Mustafa, and Ibrahim respectively.

According to the reports, Bhatkal Rural Police had received a tip-off about the trio and their activities of stealing domesticated animals late at night from the outskirts of the town. Subsequently, a team of Bhatkal Rural Police Station laid a trap to arrest the culprits.

When the accused were trying to steal cows in Gulmi in the town, from a house, the police nabbed them and seized one car and three bikes.

A case has been registered at Bhatkal Rural Police Station in this regard.
